E-Waste & Recycling Materials Not Accepted in Whitby & Oshawa
Serving Whitby and Oshawa, TMT Metal Recyclers accept a wide range of materials for recycling, including certain e-waste items. There is however a selection of other materials that we cannot accept. Please review the lists below to ensure your items are eligible for recycling purposes.
Items We Accept:

E-Waste – Includes computer towers and laptops

Pressurized containers – Only with valve removed (for safety reasons)

Oil tanks – Must have a hole cut in the side to confirm it’s empty (for environmental reasons)

Appliances – Cannot be taped (with duct tape, for example)
Materials Not Accepted:

Pressurized containers (e.g., propane tanks) – If the valve is not removed

Paint cans

Hazardous waste containers/materials

Safes
-
Coins/currency
-
Shopping/grocery carts

Microwave ovens
-
Railway materials – Including CN rail materials

TVs and monitors

Donation Spot
We have a section at the entrance of our shop available where you can leave ferrous and non-ferrous items for us. It's available throughout the day and remains accessible after hours. Basically being available 24/7! At the end of the year, all proceeds from any items left on the premises will be donated to charity.
